First, we clean the gutter, remove most of the existing sealant, and then insert the corner. The Gutter Corner Fix is secured by removing the cover from the tape and securing the corner into the gutter. We use a tape that has a strong bond to adhere the corner to the metal and the PVC insert.

After the corner is secured, we apply Shell Tixophalte sealant to each side of the corner which creates a watertight corner that will last for years. And because the corner is attached by ½” tape on each side, it allows the rest of the flexible PVC to float over the metal. This allows movement in the metal below, without causing the sealant to fail. The corners absorb the movement through the flexible PVC which is the usual cause of sealant failure.
